We are Fay and Maria and we started the Olive Tree Greek Educational and Cultural Center, an independent online and hybrid/Saturday face to face Greek School eight years ago after working for many years in community Greek schools. ✨Fay (left) is from Athens, Greece and holds a double BA in Early Childhood Education and American Studies. In addition to the Greek School, she currently works as Assistant Director at Cadence Academy Preschool. She is mom to five year old Olivia and loves coffee and French fries. ✨Maria (right) is transitioning to Principal K-6 after 14 years as a middle school Spanish teacher at South Shore Charter Public School. Currently in the Educational Leadership program at Bridgewater State University, she also holds a Master in Spanish and a Master in Teaching Greek. She is mom to three boys, Yanni, Petros and Alex and loves music and Mexican food. She has presented various seminars at language conferences such as “Heritage Learners: Differentiated Instruction and Alternate Assessments” at ACTFL 2023 and “Unesco World Heritage Sites” at MAFLA 2021. We believe in teaching children in an inclusive and loving environment where they feel comfortable to take risks in a language class.
